Denise Acker, Operations Specialist

Denise Acker is an experienced strategy and operations contractor with a strong background in coordination, communications, and multi-disciplinary collaboration. With extensive experience working across counties in Oregon, Denise played a pivotal role in collaboratively developing the state’s opioid crisis response plan by teaming with cross-county workgroups and subject matter experts to identify drug overdose trends, resources needed, and intervention plans. She compiled statewide best practices for developing drug overdose task forces, implementing emergency response strategies, and connecting to statewide harm reduction and prevention resources into the OHA-funded Drug Overdose Outbreak Plan Guidebook to assist Oregon counties in developing interagency emergency response plans that intercept and prevent drug overdoses.

Denise has worked alongside frontline, direct service healthcare professionals on multiple coordinated public health efforts aimed at addressing the complex challenges of social determinants of health, trauma, and substance use. She currently supports county-wide strategic planning and implementation efforts to advance healthcare accessibility and delivery through process development, needs assessing, data analysis, and reporting.

Denise works closely with Dr. Nadejda Razi Robertson to deliver operations and project management support to multi-faceted consulting and coaching endeavors led by Dr. Robertson.
